Minzifa hotel

Post by Admin on 24.07.16 8:09

We spent 3 nights at the beautiful Minzifa hotel and this was by far our best hotel stay. We were warmly welcomed by Norgis, her sister Firangiz and the administrator Nasiruddin who speaks excellent English. All of them are ever helpful. Norgis and her sister went out of their way to help me find the ceramicist Abdulvohid Bukhoriy, whose work I had seen in Samarkand at Happy Bird store, find me a tailor (Nozira who lives a 150 mtrs away) who made me pants and dresses from ikat and act as a translator with her. She charged me 100,000 som to make each outfit with multiple trials in between to get them right. She was decently good in a traditional sort of way - her son honestly seemed better and was the one who measured me and cut the trousers material that fit perfectly in the first shot. Ask for him if you like because he has spent 2 years working in England as a tailor too and does both men and women's tailoring.
